Dear Marie,
I am a bit late in replying to your letter but better late than never Well there s just the same news as usual all is well we had rather a rotten time of it in that battle but that’s what may be expected. We are back resting just now but I expect we will soon be up to do another attack. We only go up there to do attacks and it is always where the difficult work is we are sent although you don’t here much about it at home however if we get through it does’nt matter. We are having fine warm weather now & not before time as we had more than enough rain. Well I don’t think there is anything more to say so tata with love Doddo
